Have you ever felt far away from God? Or maybe you’ve felt like you wanted to be close to Him but aren’t sure how to get there…
Hey, I’ve been there too! I remember several years ago, realizing I wanted more in my walk with God. I knew I was saved, but I knew there was more to this life than what I was living. I didn’t want to just live an ordinary life as a Christian woman. I wanted to be close to Him. I wanted to know Him more.
I started at the only place I knew to start. I started in the Bible! I started learning more about who God was, and all the things He expected of me as a Christian woman. I learned that it’s not just a formality or something we claim to be… being a Christian is daily seeking God in His Word, and having a personal relationship with Him.
It’s not always easy, and be warned! The closer you get to God, the dirtier you will see yourself. The more I learn about Him, the more I realize that I need Him. I’m just a sinner who needed a Savior. Not just for a moment, but for every day of my life.
If there’s one thing I could tell you, it would be this. Make time for the Lord. Make time for a daily relationship with Him. God speaks to us through His Word. Don’t wonder why you haven’t heard from God when you haven’t opened your Bible since Sunday. The thing about God is, He is always waiting for us. He will give us as much of Him as we want. We just have to be open, available, and seeking after Him.
“I will meditate in thy precepts, And have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.”
Psalm 119:15-16
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
2 Timothy 3:16
